The siblings Marina Yakovleva Häfliger and Mikhail Yakovlev often appear as a duet (two violins or violin & viola). They grew up and had their initial violin education in St.Petersburg. Marina completed her studies in Sion and in Lausanne. She currently is a member of the Philharmonia Zurich. Her brother Mikhail (Misha) is first violinist in the Basel Symphony Orchestra.

Les virtuoses Marina Yakovleva & Mikhail Yakovlev, tous deux anciens élèves de l'Académie de Musique Tibor Varga, ont à cœur de faire (re)découvrir les multiples facettes et la valeur musicale des duos de violon.
Leur répertoire couvre toutes les périodes du violon moderne, du 18ème au 20ème siècle.
Lors de ce concert dans le cadre d'exception du Lac Souterrain, ils interpréteront des œuvres de Leclair, de Mazas, de Bériot, de Prokofiev et d'Halvorsen.

The cellist Lev Sivkov, winner of the 2015 Naumburg Cello Competition was born in 1990 in Novosibirsk, Russia where he started studying cello at age five. Since July 2017 he has served as principal cellist of the Zurich Opera in Switzerland. Prior to that he was principal cellist of the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, Denmark.. He plays an instrument by Miremont et fils from 1880.
